Health and your community
The decisions we make regarding our health – and how we use our health resources – impacts others in our communities.
Caring for one another in our communities
How your health impacts others
Your health doesn’t just affect how you feel on any given day. If you’re sick, you are then unable to provide support to your family, participate in activities at your church, contribute time and energy to your favorite charity, or be a productive employee.
Transforming faith communities to improve our stewardship of health
Our congregations are a natural extension of helping us celebrate health as a gift from God and of living a balanced life. Together, we can offer each other wisdom to discern God’s call, loving accountability to follow through, forgiveness and healing for brokenness, and extend welcome and warmth to people the world may consider unhealthy. We may not control our health as much as we like, but we can control our attitude.
